Located an hour away from the hustle and bustle of Manila, Taal Vista Hotel offers accommodation in Tagaytay City. Built in 1939, the English Tudor-styled mansion Hotel has become part of the Filipino heritage. It features an outdoor swimming pool and guests can enjoy meals from 3 dining options or have a drink at the bar. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

Enjoyed my stay at Taal Vista Hotel

Location and view of Taal Lake; Courteous staff Breakfast buffet is nice. Sky Ranch is within walking distance from our room.

The need to take the stairs to go to the room...elevator is a long walk down the hall. Spa staff needs more training on the services they provide (reflexology, body scrub). More cheese selections on breakfast.

Good hotel but needs upkeeping.

It has the nicest view overlooking Taal lake and also it is just beside Sky ranch (there is a gate on the side going to the park).

The hotel is not well kept - need good cleaning of rooms and bathroom. This is compared to previous experiences before the pandemic.

I thot the price was 6300. then when I was paying the amount it was 7780. I was abacked. But anyway, Our Anniversary was more important than the price. I told them they have hidden charges and I won't recommend them They were offering water And they gave me s small cake to appease me?

Big room, big lobby and resto/café, accessible to malls etc.,

▪️Breakfast: the bacon is not crispy and not chewy at all. Also the corned beef doesn't taste like premium quality. ▪️Room: there is no proper lighting at the center. Only dim lights on the edge of the ceiling and lamp shades. ▪️Pool: not heated. For a price like this around 10k, their pool should be heated like other hotels in tagaytay. ▪️Slow wifi inside the room

It met our needs, but price could be lowered given the current state of the hotel

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is big and elegant. The namesake "Taal Vista" area is wonderful and gives you a great view of Taal lake. Our room is spacious and had good amenities. Breakfast had a good selection, especially for Filipinos who crave for Filipino-style breakfast.

Information given by staff with regards to transportation were inconsistent; they did not have convenient support for transportation arrangements. Guests are on their own if they did not arrange transportation (e.g. going back to Manila) in advance. The facilities were quite old, some parts of the hallways were being patched and smelled of chemicals due to water leakages. Our room itself, while huge is quite old with rusty bearings of the windows, making it difficult to close and open. They seem to be understaffed, their breakfast at 6:00 had freshly cooked stations where we had to wait before being served.

Breakfast had great selection and there was a three-man band that serenaded every table (two songs max per table). View was great walking around the place, especially the one overlooking the water and Taal Volcano.

We had the rooms underground which smelled kinda musty (but not overpoweringly so).

Food is just ok, not as best. Bed is comfortable, but that's a given. Pool is just too far. The room where we stayed is also too far from the dining area. everything is not accessible.

despite the price of an overnight stay, toiletetries are not even complete, no body wash but what was there is just a bar of a not-so-good smelling soap. overall stay does not equal to the price paid.

Room was a bit small but very comfortable. All in all it was a nice olace to stay.. The place has character and a lot of history. The view and location of the hotel against the taal volcano backdrop was simply amazing.

No shuttle to the city attractions. The bar closes too early. There were no decent umbrellas for guests to use during rainy days. Food has a wide range of choices but nothing special. Dimsums would be nice. Sashimi would even be best.

The buffet has sufficient choices. It is the main reason why we visit Taal Vista. Our room was spacious. The balcony was the highlight of course.

The room was a bit dated. It just needs a little upgrading. But overall, satisfactory.

View especially rooms with balcony was amazing. Reception staff granted my request to have good view room in the 4th floor. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking. Although many negative points mentioned in my comment but I would come back again as the overall stay and service was very good as well as the friendly staff.

Keep in mind to find many insects if Windows kept opend. Noticed delay in room services after 10 pm. Not good for smokers unless you stay all the time in balcony. Breakfast of 4 stars Hotel. Daylight still shining through the double curtains. No good drainage in the bathroom. Balcony door not close enough to keep outside sound quite.

Room was in the new wing with a beautiful view of the ridge and Taal lake and volcano. Spacious and clean. Love the balcony.

SInce I love taking hot showers , this one dissappointed , there was only warm water in the shower with very little pressure. ( we stayed in room 486) Also since we were in the new wing , I was wondering why there is no elevator in the lobby of the new wing rather you have to go to the back portion of the building where you will find one and only one elevator that serves the basement parking to the 4th floor.

The Hotel lobby was great.... you can enjoy a cup of brewed coffee while watching their outstanding Musical classic performers at night.. We really love the breakfast as well, the foods was great...

The view and the peacefulness.

The hotel is old and our room decor was very basic, down to hospital white tiles, itchy couch covering and a tiny tiny television. Not to mention, there was a leak coming from the ceiling, the bathroom door was jammed and we could not use the bathtub because there wasn’t a stopper included with the room. More disconcerting is that no one offered to move us to a different room even though the hotel was mostly empty. There is a buffet adverstised but we found out the same day we checked in that no buffet is offered on sunday. Dinner off the menu in the hotel restaurant is quite expensive for basic filipino cuisine. I have been to many 5 star hotels, but this is a 2-4 star hotel with 5 star prices. Sad to say, it was overpriced.

What was the highlight of Taal Vista Hotel

When we arrived, the attendants are very welcoming and courteous. My daughter enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the room was clean, the sheets smelled fresh and we were also mesmerized by the great view from our room! When we asked for extra towels and slippers, they immediately attended to it and delivered it to our room. The price is quite high but it is worth it with the great service, location, facilities and the view!

The aircon in our room was leaking. It could have been better as well if the hotel provides a map of their amenities as they have a huge property and its hard to fine where their facilities were located. They could also update their directory as there were no numbers indicated for their services such as for houskeeping needs, we had to dial another number and asked to be routed. Also, the furniture in the Veranda restaurant needs to be updated as the chairs seems old and worn out and looks dirty.

I like that they honored our early check in request. I’m happy that I got the room with a view & breakfast for 2 at about 30% the usual rate. It must be due to low occupancy since a typhoon was about to hit. Great location and room service :) We are vegetarians and they were able to cater to our special requests.

I didn’t like how they didn’t allow us to charge our room service to our room and instead, the front desk asked for deposit to allow this. I mean, they have my credit card in their record. Is this an issue?
